In a recent revelation—Latter Day Saint Area President John R. Snedeker lambasted federal benefits, including education, healthcare, food, and housing, as all undemocratic tyrannies.
Snedeker made these comments while speaking to the poor and needy at the LDS Center for Human Welfare.
“Do you remember voting on the federal budget? Me neither,” Snedeker mused. He pressed on that a world where “taxation with representation is as mythical as a balanced budget. The Great Depression? This was a failure of the people NOT the government. We replaced corrupt people with a corrupt bureaucracy… not an upgrade!”
“The people are not winning when the optional Ponzi schemes of greedy capitalists are replaced with the by-force Ponzi scheme of the federal government,” Snedeker continued.
The solution, according to Snedeker, is simple: allow every American to send their tax dollars directly to the organization of their choice.
“Delegating tax decisions to politicians that cannot possibly read 150,000 page spending bills is immoral. Let the citizen make spending choices on their tax return and if the government stinks at spending money, choose a charity, let the best benefits manager win.”
Under Snedeker’s plan, smaller charitable organizations would blossom under the nourishing light of a democratic fiscal policy. Snedeker punctuated his plan by stating, “Why settle for horrible government services when you can have hyper competitive charities working hard for your donations?”
Snedeker’s proposal not only questions the efficacy of government-run welfare but also offers a bold alternative. Snedeker added weight to his proposal by drawing attention to his very own church members that choose where their donations are spent. “This plan doesn’t come from me, but from God Himself,” Snedeker declared as he received resounding applause.
